Make no mistake: Yesterday’s vote on the Right to Contraception Act wasn’t a show vote. It was a moment for our senators to show us who they are. And these Republicans showed us who they are.

There’s no confusion about what this bill would have accomplished. The Right to Contraception Act would ​​protect our rights to condoms, IUDs, the pill, emergency contraception, and other forms of contraception -- all of it.

So why would a bill like this fail?

Because extremist right-wing groups like Susan B Anthony List, National Right to Life, and the Heritage Foundation that fund and support these Senators falsely assert that IUDs and Plan B cause abortions.

So what do we do now?

We save the f*cking Senate.
