Organized by the Macomb County Board of Commissioners, the Volunteer Recognition Program honors individuals who have generously dedicated their time and effort to make a lasting, positive impact on their community.
These devoted volunteers were recently celebrated at this year's Volunteer Recognition Reception, held at the Italian American Cultural Society. During the reception, the Commissioners recognized and honored 26 Outstanding Volunteers, from which one Senior Volunteer of the Year had been chosen and was announced. This marked the 35th year of the Macomb County Volunteer Recognition Program, which is held in the spring in conjunction with National Volunteer Month.
