** June’s first primaries - previewing Iowa
------------------------------------------------------------



Five states will hold primary elections on Tuesday, June 4, including Iowa. Iowa is holding primaries for its four U.S. House districts and state legislative seats. Currently, Republicans represent all four U.S. House districts. The state is also holding primaries for 25 of the 50 seats in the Iowa Senate and all 100 seats in the Iowa House of Representatives.

** Sixteen U.S. House primaries are contested in New Jersey this year — highest this decade

New Jersey will also hold primary elections on June 4. The state is holding primaries for congressional and local offices. In New Jersey, state legislative and executive elections are held in odd-numbered years.

Sixteen primaries for New Jersey's 12 U.S. House elections are contested this year—seven Democratic primaries and nine Republican—the most this decade. Additionally, seven candidates, including three Democrats and four Republicans, are running for the state’s open U.S. Senate seat.

** Ten candidates running in Republican primary for Colorado's open 3rd Congressional District

In Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, one of our battleground elections this year, incumbent Lauren Boebert (R) is running for re-election in the 4th District, leaving the seat open. Ten candidates are running in the June 25th primary. Four lead in fundraising, endorsements, and local media attention: Russ Andrews (R), Ron Hanks (R), Jeff Hurd (R), and Stephen Varela (R).
