Dear Friend,

As we celebrate Memorial Day, we honor the courage, strength
and determination of our fallen service members. Their bravery
inspires us to keep up our own fight on behalf of veterans with
Alzheimer's disease - and everyone who's battling this terrible
disease.

In addition to the main risk factors for Alzheimer's and other
dementia, there are a few factors that veterans may also experience
- like depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and
traumatic brain injury (TBI). While anyone can have these risk
factors, veterans are more likely to have them, making them more at
risk for dementia than people who are not veterans.

In fact:
* More than 1/5 of combat wounds in the wars in Afghanistan and
Iraq involved brain injuries.
* A recent meta-analysis estimated the increase in dementia risk
from any form of TBI was nearly 70%.
* PTSD is two to five times more common in veterans when compared
with the general population.

But there's something you can do to help. In honor of our
heroes, support our One-Week 2X Match Challenge by making a gift that
can go TWICE as far to accelerate scientific research and help those
living with Alzheimer's or another dementia and their caregivers get
the care and support they need.

We're in the final days of our 2X match challenge, and we need
your help to reach our goal. This amazing opportunity is being funded
by a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. They've pledged $50,000 to
advance critical research in the fight against this cruel disease and
have agreed to MATCH every gift we receive by May 30 - but only
if we raise that same $50,000 by that deadline.

Friend, you're
such an important member of our community - a friend who
inspires us to keep up the fight to defeat Alzheimer's. That's why
this Memorial Day, I'm asking you to lend your support to our One-Week
2X Match Challenge. Just see what an impact you can make today:

(800.272.3900) and in a variety of other ways.

The impact of Alzheimer's cannot be overstated. For those
living with the disease, it steals memories, independence, control,
time and, ultimately, life.

This is why it's critically important that you continue to
drive research, help provide care and support and unrelentingly
advocate for the rights of the Alzheimer's and dementia community. In
honor of the heroes we've lost and the heroes who are with us today,
please support our One-Week 2X Match Challenge.

Our May 30 deadline is coming very soon - and there are
so many families who need our help. That's why I'm urging you to take
a stand in this critical fight with your first gift now.

Together, we can further our mission to lead the way to end
Alzheimer's and all other dementia - by accelerating global
research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing
quality care and support. Thank you for standing with us in this
fight.

All my best,

Michael Reich

P.S. It isn't easy to raise $50,000 in
such a short time. But we've accepted this challenge, and the only way
we will achieve our goal - and, most importantly, make 2X the
difference in the fight against this disease - is with your
help. Please join us in making 2X the impact today.
