California Professional Firefighters and Sacramento Area Firefighters Local 522 Endorse Christopher Cabaldon for State Senate

West Sacramento, CA — Christopher Cabaldon’s campaign for State Senate announced that California Professional Firefighters (CPF) and the Sacramento Area Firefighters Local 522 have thrown their full support behind Cabaldon’s bid for State Senate District 3.
In making their endorsements, the presidents of CPF and Sacramento Area Firefighters Local 522 released the following statements:
Brian K. Rice, President of the California Professional Firefighters, said: “The California Professional Firefighters proudly stand with Christopher Cabaldon. He understands what firefighters need to stay safe, protect our communities, and ensure we have the resources to effectively respond to emergencies. His commitment to public safety makes him the ally we need in the State Senate.”
Trevor Jamison, President of Sacramento Area Firefighters Local 522, said: “Sacramento Area Firefighters Local 522 is proud to endorse Christopher Cabaldon for State Senate. Christopher has a proven track record of prioritizing public safety and ensuring our firefighters have what they need to get the job done. We are confident that in Christopher, our firefighters, and the communities we serve will have a capable champion in the State Senate.
The California Professional Firefighters (CPF) represents over 30,000 firefighters and emergency medical personnel across the state of California. Established with the objective of promoting better working conditions, improved safety standards, and the health and welfare of firefighters and their families. CPF is dedicated to the advancement of professional firefighting tactics and the promotion of safety and effectiveness in emergency services across the state.
Sacramento Area Firefighters Local 522 was founded in 1937 and represents over 1,900 firefighters across eight agencies including Sacramento Fire, Sacramento Metro Fire, Cosumnes Fire, West Sacramento Fire, Folsom Fire, Sacramento County Airport Fire, South Placer Fire and Lincoln Fire. 522 members provide comprehensive emergency response to their communities, including exceptional firefighting capabilities, technical rescues, and hazardous material response.
In response to these endorsements, Cabaldon released the following statement:
“I am deeply honored to have earned the support of state and local firefighters. Our firefighters are on the frontlines every day, protecting our homes and our families. I will always fight to deliver the tools, resources, and funding public safety needs to ensure their safety and effectiveness. Together, we will work to enhance emergency response capabilities, support firefighter health and well-being, and build safer communities for everyone.”
The coalition supporting Christopher Cabaldon’s campaign has continued to swell since he finished first among Democratic candidates in the primary election. His victory in the primary was fueled by an issue-driven grassroots campaign supported by Planned Parenthood Northern California Action Fund, the Sierra Club, local Democratic clubs, working families, local elected officials, activists, business owners, and civil rights groups.
