Entrepreneurship and Disability: New Data

An inclusive and thriving economy needs business ownership among people with disabilities, employment of disabled people in small businesses, and policies to promote both. The Need for Inclusive Apprenticeships in Clean Energy

The workforce needs of the clean energy sector in the United States are growing. To meet this sector?s labor force demands, employers and workforce development professionals are seeking new approaches to train workers quickly and more effectively. The ODEP-funded Partnership on Inclusive Apprenticeship (PIA) seeks to expand access to one such approach: registered apprenticeships for people with disabilities. DOL?s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) is thrilled to announce the 2024 National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) theme. Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and a fitting time for CDE Supporters to promote ?Mental Health at Work: What Can I Do?? [ [link removed] ] The PSA has aired more than 4 million times on television, radio and online channels nationwide, and we?re continuing to amplify its message far and wide.

What can YOU do to help? Make ?Mental Health at Work: What Can I Do?? a part of your organization?s May activities. Our Public Service Announcement (PSA) Outreach Toolkit (attached below) features a helpful set of ready-to-publish news briefs, sample social media posts and promotional graphics. Specific ideas for spreading the word include the following:

? Link to the PSA on your organization?s website.
? Share CDE social media posts and/or post your own.
? Publish news briefs or articles about the PSA in your newsletter, eblasts, etc.
? Use the ?Mental Health at Work: What Can I Do?? poster [ [link removed] ] and workplace guide [ [link removed] ] in your workplace, and encourage your networks to download their own.
? Screen the PSA at conferences, events and workplace gatherings.
