Today, for the SECOND TIME THIS WEEK, the U.S. Court of
Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled against Texas abortion providers.
This means that, as of just a few hours ago, abortion is once again
largely inaccessible in the state of Texas.

Today's ruling bars most patients from accessing abortion care,
with the exception of those who would be beyond the gestational age
limit in Texas before Governor Abbott's order expires on April
22, and thus completely prevented from receiving an abortion in the
state. This latest ruling has created additional legal whiplash,
causing confusion and uncertainty for hundreds of patients in need of
abortion care.

The Fifth Circuit is allowing Texas to force women to wait until
the eleventh hour to get the time-sensitive, essential health care
that they are constitutionally guaranteed. We will keep fighting to
ensure no one is left behind. Please make a generous gift right now to
continue to stand with us.

Team,

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit issued a ruling
yesterday allowing Texas to continue blocking access to abortion care
during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is not the last word-we will take every legal action
necessary to fight this abuse of emergency powers.

Texas has been trying to eliminate access to abortion care for
decades, and anti-abortion politicians are exploiting this pandemic to
achieve that goal. Texans who need abortion care are not waiting for
the courts-those who are able to travel are already leaving the
state to get care. Others are tragically being left behind.

I know one thing for certain, the need for abortion care doesn't disappear during
a pandemic and neither does our fight. Can we count on your support
right now? Please make an urgent gift today.

P.S. This isn't just happening in Texas. Other states, including
Oklahoma, Ohio, and Alabama, are attempting to use the crisis as an
excuse to ban abortion.

We will use every legal tool necessary to protect abortion access.
Please make a generous gift right now to stand by our side in this
fight.
