Team, Mad’s been busy and we’re here again with the latest news on her work that we don’t want you to miss!
Mad was joined by a group of environmental professionals to assess the cleanup progress at Crossley Farm in Hereford Township, Berks County – a Superfund site. Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the EPA was awarded $3.5 billion to clean up hazardous waste sites like Crossley Farm. Read more about it here. [[link removed]]

A new study at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Willow Grove looks at the link between forever chemicals like PFAS and certain diseases. In 2011, the US DOD and the EPA confirmed the presence of toxic chemicals at the base. Having been a leader on PFAS and water contamination going back to her days in the State House, Mad reintroduced the PFAS water bill in Congress – because those affected by such contamination deserve to be compensated. In her ongoing fight for clean drinking water across the Commonwealth, Mad helped secure $37 million from the EPA to clean up Pennsylvania’s water by removing PFAS chemicals. Read more about Mad’s work on this here. [[link removed]][link removed] [[link removed]]

Mad was one of the Representatives in the House who introduced the REPORT Act to protect kids online, and President Biden recently signed the legislation into law. The REPORT Act works to ensure that online service providers submit reports of suspected crimes and exploitation against children online. Read more on Mad’s hard work to protect our kids here.
