“Elected positions were created in the image of white landowning men. And these jobs continue to be arranged in a way that supports and reinforces that structure of power.”
We know that it's time for that to change. That's why our CEO and President Ghida Dagher sat down with Cosmopolitan [[link removed]] to dive into the challenges that elected women face—and what they really need to thrive. These conversations are critic al to exposing ongoing systemic barriers and finding lasting solutions to overcome them and create a truly inclusive democracy for us all.

House Republicans passed a bill that calls for adding a citizenship question to the decennial census [[link removed]] , reviving an issue the Supreme Court had blocked in 2019. The measure would require that the U.S. only consider citizens when determining the number of congressional seats each state receives.
Critics of the bill condemn the move as an attack on immigrant communities, citing that it is not the Census Bureau’s job to track immigration status and would provide an incomplete look at the needs and diversity of our communities.
