It’s despicable,
John.

GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson says that if the same “circumstances were
presented,” he would contest the election results in 2024 just as he did
in 2020.

Considering there has been no evidence of widespread fraud ever found in
the 2020 election, it’s unclear what “circumstances” would justify
contesting the results.

But we can’t just sit around trying to understand their backward logic.
It’s clear Republicans intend to try and subvert our democracy once again,
and we need to double down on our work to defeat them.

That includes Texas’ part-time Senator Ted Cruz, who was one of the
loudest voices screaming about nonexistent election fraud and who refused
to certify the results in 2020. If he gets the chance, he’ll absolutely do
it again.

We have big plans to help defeat Ted by running ads and mobilizing voters
all over the state this November, but we can’t do it without your
grassroots support.
