Considering there has been no evidence of widespread fraud ever found in the 2020 election, it’s unclear what “circumstances” would justify contesting the results.
But we can’t just sit around trying to understand their backward logic. It’s clear Republicans intend to try and subvert our democracy once again, and we need to double down on our work to defeat them.
That includes Texas’ part-time Senator Ted Cruz, who was one of the loudest voices screaming about nonexistent election fraud and who refused to certify the results in 2020. If he gets the chance, he’ll absolutely do it again.
