Healthcare costs in America are out of control, forcing people to make an impossible choice between forgoing treatment or racking up medical debt. The consequences are devastating.

40% of Americans report [[link removed]] carrying medical debt. It’s the leading cause of bankruptcy for middle—and working-class Americans, even those with health insurance.
