25% of Americans say they have skipped health care due to costs. An estimated 68,000 people die a year because they lack access to health care.
There is no reason people should carry medical debt in the world’s wealthiest country. It’s time for Congress to wipe the slate clean and pass the Medical Debt Cancelation Act, legislation Bernie Sanders and I introduced that would end the burden of punishing medical bills once and for all.
The Medical Debt Cancelation Act will:
