John, I’m Tekesha Martinez. As a teen mother who grew up in foster care, I have defied the odds to become a community mediator and the first Black Mayor of Hagerstown. Now, I’m running for Congress in MD-06, one of the most competitive seats in Maryland.

Through this campaign, I have gotten to know another public servant running for the open seat in neighboring district MD-03: Harry Dunn, the officer who defended the U.S. Capitol against insurrectionists on January 6.
