Spring has sprung, and what is our favorite part of Spring? Birdathon! ([link removed])
Birdathon is officially underway, but you still have plenty of time to get a team together ([link removed]) and plan your big day outing.
Birdathon helps ASNV to support outdoor education, citizen science, habitat conservation, and programs to encourage people to plant native plants and protect native wildlife. Birdathon also helps ornithologists better understand spring migration by reporting sightings through eBird ([link removed]) , an online database of bird observations run by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Check out these tips ([link removed]) on how to see as many species as possible in one day! We now have 5+ teams so please visit our team list ([link removed]) and make a donation to your favorite team. We need your help to cheer on our marathon birders.
A special thank you to our Birdathon sponsors - the Backyard Bird Feeder ([link removed]) , Gladwyn Financial ([link removed]) and Wegman’s ([link removed]) .
