Step it Up! is a Free 8-Week Walking Program that will Begin this Spring with Ottawa County Parks & Recreation

Get signed up for Step it Up! [ [link removed] ] This free 8-week program is designed to help you stay active and explore new parks. Individuals and families of all fitness levels are invited to join. Easy-to-use goal setting and tracking is available to participants. Let's walk together towards a healthier lifestyle - one step at a time! "Step it Up! is supported by the Ottawa County Parks Foundation. "

Participants will be able to set activity goals and track their activity through the Step it Up! online platform. Participants can also look forward to:


* Guided group walks and group adventures
* Discovering new parks 
* Meeting new people
* Motivation and accountability by logging activity and setting goals
* Incentive prizes

Group Walks & Activities

In order to help participants stay active throughout the program, there are weekly walks - lead by a guide - in Ottawa County Parks! To encourage participants to discover new recreational activities, the program also offers opportunities to try kayaking and canoeing. These activities and necessary equipment are free-of-charge to registered participants.The Step it Up! initiative will culminate with the Grand Explorers' Trail Race from Grand River Park to Grand Ravines "(optional)."
