Step it Up! is a Free 8-Week Walking Program that will Begin this Spring with Ottawa County Parks & Recreation

Get signed up for Step it Up! This free 8-week program is designed to help you stay active and explore new parks. Individuals and families of all fitness levels are invited to join. Easy-to-use goal setting and tracking is available to participants. Let's walk together towards a healthier lifestyle - one step at a time! Step it Up! is supported by the Ottawa County Parks Foundation.

Participants will be able to set activity goals and track their activity through the Step it Up! online platform. Participants can also look forward to:

Guided group walks and group adventures

Discovering new parks

Meeting new people

Motivation and accountability by logging activity and setting goals

Incentive prizes

Group Walks & Activities

In order to help participants stay active throughout the program, there are weekly walks - lead by a guide - in Ottawa County Parks! To encourage participants to discover new recreational activities, the program also offers opportunities to try kayaking and canoeing. These activities and necessary equipment are free-of-charge to registered participants.The Step it Up! initiative will culminate with the Grand Explorers' Trail Race from Grand River Park to Grand Ravines (optional).
