We’re already a quarter of the way into the year, folks! The 2024 election is heating up, so we want to celebrate all that Yvette has accomplished since 2022:

*
Protecting
our
civil
rights
in
the
digital
realm *
Rep.
Clarke
created
the
Anti-Digital
Redlining
Act,
which
led
to
the
FCC
adopting
rules
to
prevent
digital
discrimination
of
access
to
broadband
services
based
on
income
level,
race,
ethnicity,
color,
religion,
or
national
origin

*
Combatting
mis-,
dis-,
and
mal-information *
She
introduced
the
DEEPFAKES
Accountability
Act
(HR
5586),
creating
a
private
right
of
action
for
victims
to
sue
deepfake
creators
and
more
safeguards
against
this
kind
of
dangerous
digitally
altered
content

*
A
voice
in
Congress
for
Black
migrants *
Along
with
working
on
extensive
legislation,
Rep.
Clarke
has
led
several
letters
urging
the
administration
to
prioritize
much-needed
relief
for
immigrant
communities,
particularly
those
from
African
and
Caribbean
diasporas

*
Equity
in
healthcare *
Much
of
Rep
Clarke’s
work
has
been
addressing
the
disparities
facing
underserved
communities
and
populations;
she
introduced
legislation
such
as
H.R.
1072,
the
Health
Center
Community
Transformation
Hub
Act,
which
would
authorize
specialized
grants
to
community
health
centers
(CHCs)
for
the
purpose
of
implementing
community
transformation
hubs

These represent just a small amount of the historic work that Rep. Clarke has done while in office. The strides she’s making have had a profound impact on NY-09, and we can’t risk losing her voice in Congress. >> [[link removed]]
