Good news out of Colorado!
Earlier today, Colorado Governor Jared Polis signed HB24-1098 [[link removed]] , the For Cause Evictions bill, into law! Introduced by Colorado State Senator Julie Gonzales, a NAL trainer and alum, this new law protects renters against discriminatory practices and is an important step forward in addressing housing instability.
Just another example of how NALpistas are leading the way! 💪🏽

“This is judicial cruelty. It is also out of touch with the overwhelming majority of Arizonans.”
Arizona State Senators Anna Hernandez and Priya Sundareshan along with State Representatives Analise Ortiz and Lorena Austin—all NALpistas—spoke out against a draconian law from 1864 that the Arizona Supreme Court recently revived. This law takes away the right to bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom and will have devastating consequences, especially for those in immigrant communities and communities of color where there is already a lack of access to quality, affordable health care.
This is just one of the many examples of why we need leaders in office—like our NALpistas in Arizona—who will fight for policies that strengthen our rights, not take them away.
