The 1864 abortion ban requires prison time for doctors who provide abortion care to their patients, and Katie made it clear: She refuses to let that happen. Katie is keeping her promise to keep Arizona families safe and protect seniors and vulnerable populations. The Copper Courier: How Gov. Hobbs plans to wipe out over 80% of medical debt for Arizonans like Misty [[link removed]]

In partnership with RIP Medical Debt, Katie canceled nearly $2 billion in medical debt for up to 1 million Arizonans using federal funds from the American Rescue Plan Act. A far-right Republican lawmaker proposed legislation that would turn school board races into politicized elections, and Katie vetoed this divisive plan. LGBTQ Nation: Arizona governor vetoes bill seeking to erase trans folks from public life [[link removed]]

Extreme Republicans put a bill on Katie’s desk that was designed to erase transgender people from being legally recognized by the state — including preventing trans people from obtaining legal documents that reflect their gender identity. Thankfully, Katie vetoed this unnecessary bill and reiterated that she’ll never sign any legislation that attacks Arizonans’ freedoms.READ MORE [[link removed]]
