John – Wiley Nickel here. I ran for Congress in 2022 because I wanted a better future for my children and all of the people living in North Carolina’s 13th District.

I ran to protect women’s reproductive rights, stand up for our environment, and fight for our democracy after the insurrection on January 6, 2021.
I committed to preserving democracy, and while I can’t run to represent this district in Congress this November, my commitment is far from over.
Democrats are running at every level in North Carolina and across the US who need our support. I’m doing everything I can to get them elected.
But this important work can’t be done alone. We must work together to elect Democrats up and down the ballot because the fate of our country will lie in their hands.
