Eight years ago, we made history when we elected Barack Obama
to be President of the United States.

And because we did, we've helped 20 million Americans gain
affordable health care thanks to the Affordable Care Act. We've
created more than 14 million private-sector jobs. We passed the Lilly
Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, made it easier for young people to afford a
college education, and so much more.

Samuel, you helped to make all that possible -- because you believed in
the values we share as Democrats and because you worked hard
every day to turn those values into reality.

In November, we have the chance to make history again. So today,
I'm asking you to say you're with me in this election -- and for
everything that's to come:

Together, we're going to build on the progress of the past eight years
and move the country forward. We're going to act on raising wages and
reforming our immigration system. We're going to fix our broken gun
laws and make it easier for kids to afford a college education. We're
