Folks, healthcare is a human right. For our communities to thrive, our citizens need easy access to affordable healthcare, and I’m proudly in the fight to make this a reality for NY-09 and beyond.

Often, communities of color face discrimination in the healthcare sector. I’ve been so proud to author bills that address healthcare disparities in these communities; some of my work includes bills that authorize specialized grants to community health centers, provide protection of the Medicare Trust Fund, safeguards for access to essential care, and more.

Friend, will you consider donating to my campaign today to ensure that I can continue this work? [[link removed]]

Women’s health is also very personal to me. Did you know that although women make up 50 percent of the nation’s population, in recent years, only 10 percent of the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) $45 billion research budget has been spent on researching women’s health issues?

I serve as co-chair of the Congressional Black Women and Girls Caucus, where I've been tirelessly working to bring these issues to light so that they can be put right. Losing my seat in Congress would be detrimental to this fight: If you support access to affordable healthcare for ALL, please chip in to my re-election campaign NOW. [[link removed]]
