We're sharing an inspiring nomination from our own Jenn Stowe, NDWA Executive Director, to kick things off. Jenn nominated Doretha J. Marshall, a devoted childcare provider.

"I was a young parent raising my daughter in DC while attending college full-time. After searching for months, I nearly dropped out of school during my senior year because of the lack of affordable child care," said Jenn.

"The week before I was set to withdraw from school, my neighbor, Ms. Doretha Marshall, whom I met at a park, offered to care for my daughter, Zoe, at a price that I could afford. She changed the trajectory of my life and her care allowed me to go to school, graduate, and start my career. She is my guardian angel!"

Now, it's YOUR turn [[link removed]] . Who is your Doretha Marshall?

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.

Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
