Here are some updates.
* A Mike Lindell-endorsed candidate is challenging ([link removed]) her primary loss for board of supervisors in northern California's Shasta County, alleging that "many illegal ballots" were counted. A hand recount of the election started today.
* Republican candidates for federal office in New Jersey filed ([link removed]) a lawsuit seeking to block the "county line" ballot design for the GOP primaries. A judge previously blocked the controversial design for the Democratic primaries.
* Former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants asked ([link removed]) to appeal a Georgia judge's ruling denying their motion to dismiss the Fulton County election subversion case on First Amendment grounds.
* A court in Louisiana began trial in a lawsuit filed ([link removed]) on behalf of “non-African American” voters challenging the state’s two new majority-Black congressional districts. Plaintiffs claim that the map is racially gerrymandered.
+ The Louisiana Legislature enacted a new congressional map in 2024 after the previous map was struck down for violating Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. This new lawsuit seeks to block this map.
