Today is Joe Saunders Day!

In 2022, the beloved late Miami Beach City Commissioner Mark Samuelian named January 20 “Joe Saunders Day” in the City of Miami Beach in honor of Joe’s community advocacy.

I’ve been close friends with Joe for almost 15 years – and it’s no surprise that Miami Beach has a day in his honor.

Joe has spent his career making a difference, beginning with his advocacy as a student at the University of Central Florida. In 2012, Joe made history as the first LGBTQ state lawmaker in Florida to take the oath of office.

For decades he has fought for opportunity, healthcare, and to improve our public schools. He’s a fighter for Florida’s most vulnerable Floridans and the recognition is so well deserved.

I’m proud to celebrate Joe today — not just because we’re friends, but because we share the same vision: a Florida where we prioritize lowering costs and creating jobs, not Tallahassee’s culture wars. A Florida where we protect our freedoms and fight for a Florida where ALL of us are healthy, prosperous, and safe.

If you share this vision, can you click here to celebrate Joe Saunders Day with a $20 donation?

Thank you and Happy Joe Saunders Day!
