I know I’m biased, but I’ve known Emily was a leader since she was a kid.

Her first leadership role was as a big sister to her brother, Zack, and sister, Olivia – and she was a natural.

Caring for Olivia, who was born with complex disabilities and medical needs, gave Emily a deeper understanding of the challenges of our healthcare system and sparked her instinct to stand up for peers who were bullied or left out.

Emily was the first in our family to attend college, igniting her determination to make higher education affordable, accessible, and inclusive for all.

And when Emily took these experiences with her to the State Senate, she made incredible progress on behalf of our community. She’ll do the same in Congress.
