Mayor Breed celebrated Women's History Month with over 200 women attending an event focusing on the importance of turning out women to vote in November 2024.



As the first Black female mayor in San Francisco, Mayor Breed is among a small group of just eight Black women who lead the nation’s 100 most populous cities.



Since taking office, Mayor Breed has defied expectations, overcome crises, and excelled at creating a thriving San Francisco by approaching leadership with empathy, compassion, and perseverance.
