Dear John, 

Just this week we were in Washington DC as the US Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the FDA v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine regarding the Food and Drug Administration's unlawful removal of crucial safety standards for pregnant women who use abortion drugs mifepristone and misoprostol. This case was originally filed in a Texas district court. Texas Values legal and policy team members showed up with our legal and policy expertise. Mary Elizabeth Castle, Director of Government Relations said, "Today the Supreme Court will hear one of the biggest cases to determine the health and safety of women and babies since the overturning of Roe 2 years ago, The facts are clear. Abortion drugs often end the lives of two people and not just one. 1 in 25 Women will go to the hospital if they ingest these abortion pills. We must protect women and babies from the deadly dosage that should have more federal restrictions and even be banned in the state of Texas."
