Can democracy co-exist with AI?
So much has changed in our world since Britain last went to the polls in 2019.
But perhaps the most significant change of all is the dramatic advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) - and the profound implications it is already having for the integrity of our democratic institutions.
Indeed - many are now asking if, in an age of deep-fakes and large language models, democracy can even co-exist with AI.
Nobody is better placed to discuss this than Tim Gordon - the former CEO of the Liberal Democrats and co-founder of Best Practice AI.

Tim's biography

After a career working with the Financial Times and then as an advisor and director in the business world, Tim became CEO of the Liberal Democrats in 2012 - working closely with then Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and overseeing the 2015 and 2017 General Election campaigns.
After moving on from the party in 2017 Tim co-founded Best Practice AI which advises organisations to accelerate the adoption of ethical AI. In 2019 - they became the first UK AI firm to be invited to join the World Economic Forum Global AI Council.
Tim is also a trustee of FullFact - the UK's major independent fact-checking organisation.
