After a career working with the Financial Times and then as an advisor and director in the business world, Tim became CEO of the Liberal Democrats in 2012 - working closely with then Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and overseeing the 2015 and 2017 General Election campaigns.

After moving on from the party in 2017 Tim co-founded Best Practice AI which advises organisations to accelerate the adoption of ethical AI. In 2019 - they became the first UK AI firm to be invited to join the World Economic Forum Global AI Council.

Tim is also a trustee of FullFact - the UK's major independent fact-checking organisation.
