For real though the Cherry Blossom trees having to be removed due to water levels is sad and should remind us of how important it is to take climate change seriously…speaking of which, if you'd like to chair our Housing, Infrastructure, and Environment caucus, email Austin Locke, Political Director, at

March Donation Drive for Doorways and N Street Village!
In honor of Women's History Month, AYD is highlighting ongoing donation drives at Doorways—an organization committed to breaking the cycles of abuse, homelessness, and poverty, and Arlington’s only provider of safe housing for survivors, and N STreet Villagem supporting women experiencing homelessness in DC.
With over 1 in 3 women (35.6%) in the US having experienced sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime 1 [[link removed]] , the need for supportive services is more critical than ever.
Both of these organizations are collecting donations and essential items to support their respective communities. Please take a look at the donation pages below and consider contributing to these meaningful causes, or drop a donation off at one of our events this month.

Now that the 2024 Democratic Primaries are over for Virginia, it is time to select delegates to represent Democrats at various conventions. Calls have been set out for those who wish to be a delegate at the district, state, and national levels.
Per the 2024 DPVA Delegate Selection Plan, Arlington can send up to 69 delegates to the 8th Congressional District Convention, with 8 going to the DNC in Chicago from the 8th District.
Additional at-large level delegates will be selected at the DPVA Convention, located in Richmond, in June.
More information about the delegate selection process can be found at: vademocrats.org/delegateselection [[link removed]] .
