Crime gets worse;
Dallas City Council members do nothing.
The local media lies about
crime.
Safe streets are a civil right.
City Leaders Are Gaslighting
You
Local Dallas media and city leaders have spent the last two weeks
working to
[link removed]
wledge-downtown-crime-problem/ gaslight their audiences into believing
Downtown Dallas is a safe section of our city. Laura Miller, former
Mayor of Dallas, has even claimed that Downtown is perfectly safe.
The facts contradict
[link removed]
r-crime-denial/ Laura Miller’s claims. Dallas has only become more
dangerous. DPD continues to suffer from extreme staff shortages.
Downtown crime has only shown to increase over the past four years.
According to the

3AshowVizHome=n DPD city crime dashboard, just 3,102 crimes were
reported in Historic Downtown in 2020; compared to 2023, Downtown has
4,312 offenses.

Facts matter, and Dallas residents aren't stupid.
They know this city is more dangerous than it was four years ago. They
know that things will not improve until the City Council finally
decides to deal with our understaffed police department.

At present,
we are at risk of falling below 3,000 police officers in active force.
DPD needs to have around 4,000 officers to address crime in Dallas
proactively.
Contact your City Council member today and tell them they
must do everything possible to hire 1,000 new police officers ASAP.

Dallas streets
are NOT safe! A triple murder took place this week in Dallas as DPD
continues to suffer from staffing shortages. Safe streets are a Civil
Right, and Dallas City Council is doing nothing to protect it for us!

Prostitution Sting Clocks in 30 Arrests
A victory story for
DPD: 30 were arrested in a massive prostitution sting on Harry Hines
last week. Many who frequent the area know what a colossal problem sex
work is on this street. This was the first step to take to clean up
this part of town. DPD may have been able to deal with this issue much
sooner had they not been facing such a severe staffing shortage.

Crime Boss of the Month: Kathy Stewart
The Crime Boss for the
month of March is Kathy Stewart. The District 10 Council Member has
seen a 21.5% year-over-year increase in crime score spike in the last
month. Assaults, auto thefts, and burglaries have all topped the charts
in District 10. When will City Council members like Kathy Stewart take
the issue of Public Safety seriously?

Tracking Illegal Camps:
District 2 Councilman Jesse Moreno
"Infomart Camp"
This camp in Jesse
Moreno’s District 2 has been dubbed “Infomart Camp.” Placed just
outside the old Infomart building, many will see this camp just as they
enter Dallas northbound from 35E. We have the power to clean up our
streets from the vagrancy crisis, and it’s about time we did so!
 District 2 Councilman Jesse Moreno
"Underpass Haven Camp"
This
camp in Jesse Moreno’s District 2 has earned the title “Underpass Haven
Camp.” Urban camping bans don’t stop vagrants from stealing public
spaces like this one. Vagrants in these spaces have trashed our city,
and they aren’t getting any cleaner. It’s time for the City Council to
end vagrancy in Dallas.
 District 7 Councilman Adam Bazaldua
"Empty Lot Camp"
We named this camp in Adam Bazaldua’s District 7
“Empty Lot Camp.” Empty lots are like pots of gold to Dallas vagrants.
They steal this private land for their own personal use and drive up
crime in the area. Neighbors are not keen on keeping camps like this
active, yet the city does nothing! City Council must act!

Statement:
Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness
in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large
city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have a City
Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines the
quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the "defund
the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders' efforts
towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our city's
homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the prohibition of
urban camping.
