Dear John,
We're hoping that you and your family are doing well during this increasingly tough time. One of the things we've been working on is urging Congress to support farmers, ranchers, fishers, and farm- and food-workers in the stimulus bill. Specifically, we're calling for systemic reform to build resilience for all producers, workers, and eaters and investment in building out critical infrastructure between local and regional food producers and families in need of healthy food.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 stimulus bills passed in Congress don't go far enough to ensure that all the people who produce our food are supported. You can help: Take Action with Farm Aid now [[link removed]] and tell Congress to ensure that all farmers, ranchers and fishermen are included in any COVID-19 stimulus package, particularly small and mid-sized operations, farms operated by farmers of color, and tribal nations who are often left out of federal farm policy.
