Wyoming Game and Fish Department 2024 season setting meetings

Season setting is a term commonly used by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department to describe the process by which the hunting season regulations are determined. For big game, this is an annual process that establishes the length and time of each hunting season, number of licenses to be issued and additional restrictions or limitations.?

Public input is vital to this process. All interested stakeholders, whether active hunters or not, are encouraged to participate, learn more and provide feedback.

Wyoming introduces hunter ed. endorsement for teachers

Hunter education

Joint efforts by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and the Professional Teaching Standards Board have resulted in a *new license endorsement* [ [link removed] ] for teachers interested in teaching hunter education in Wyoming classrooms.

""Food from the Field""?is a statewide partnership focused on?building a sustainable future fighting hunger in Wyoming.

Program partners?Wyoming Hunger Initiative, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, Wyoming Department of Agriculture and participating meat processors work together to streamline game meat donations to food pantries across Wyoming.

Volunteer hunter education instructor teaching students

Would you be interested in teaching the next generation of hunters? You can become a hunter education instructor and give back in your community! The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be hosting two trainings in the coming months to train new volunteer hunter education instructors:


* Jackson, April 18-20
* Casper, August 8-10
