Hi team,

This week, we started the process of collecting signatures to get me on the ballot, officially launching my re-election campaign.

It’s also the final day of Black History Month and Leap Day, meaning we have an extra day to celebrate the Black leaders who are reshaping Congress in the Congressional Black Caucus and an extra day to fundraise ahead of our February end-of-month goal.

This year, we can’t take anything for granted. Voters in New York resoundingly rejected the MAGA threat by flipping George Santos’s seat from red to blue in a special election earlier this month, but that doesn’t mean we can sit on our laurels.

We know the GOP is going to run candidates everywhere in the hopes of keeping their majority, even in traditionally Democratic districts like mine. Plus, as the only Black woman representing New York and a recent target for Trump’s attacks on immigration, I have a target on my back.

Help us kick off the campaigning season strong by donating to our end-of-month campaign – any amount will help us reach our goal and start the petitioning season on a high note!
