I hope you're finding some time to enjoy the summer with your friends and family! With Congress on recess, I've been home in New York the last few weeks. I can't tell you how good it feels.

I ran into an old student!

You already know I'd rather not be taking time away from hanging with my family or catching up with my community to do fundraising. But here's the thing: I got the hardest-working team in Congress, and even on summer break, they just ran the numbers. We need to raise about $3,700 in the next three days to get back on track for the month.

I don't make this request lightly. As a working father of three (with one in college), a mortgage, all that, I know that chipping in any amount represents a serious commitment to the peace and justice we're working for every day.
