Black History Month Employee Reflections: Michelle Donaldson

Michelle Donaldson [ [link removed] ]

As a senior industry operations investigator, Michelle Donaldson has spent 18 years protecting the Seattle community. Her journey to ATF started after she became the first person in her family to achieve a college degree.

When faced with multiple job offers after graduation, a professor told her, ?That?s a no brainer, you want to go with ATF! [ [link removed] ]? She hasn't looked back.

Black History Month Employee Reflections: Damon Wright

Damon Wright is a firearms and explosives services specialist in the Office of Enforcement Programs and Services. He?s been with ATF for nine years and previously worked as a legal instruments examiner.

Damon believes that law enforcement requires people of different backgrounds. A diverse workforce makes better policies and programs [ [link removed] ] that help recognize certain biases and prevent decisions that would cause unnecessary harm to communities of color.

New Traveling with Firearms Posters Available

Don't Travel with Firearms Poster: &quot;Possession isn't worth the time. Carrying firearms and ammunition in the Caribbean could land you in jail.&quot; [ [link removed] ]

While you're packing your sunscreen and snorkel gear, don't forget to check your luggage and clothing to remove all guns and ammunition. Taking a moment to review necessary steps for lawfully traveling with firearms [ [link removed] ]can keep you out of a foreign prison.?

Many countries in the Caribbean do not allow possession of firearms or ammunition unless you have a local permit and, if arrested while traveling, the U.S. Embassy will not be able to secure your release.
