Dear Friend,

American airmen who flew from Britain helped win World War II, shaping history
as we know it. As we lose more members of the “Greatest Generation” every year,
the service and sacrifice of these valiant airmen is fading from the world’s
memory.

But through your support, the American Air Museum in Britain is keeping their
incredible stories alive for audiences around the world—most recently through
the new World War II drama series, Masters of the Air , which debuted on Apple TV on January 26 and highlights stories of American
airmen that friends like you have helped to preserve. You can read more about
their stories when you visit our online archives.

Kirk Saduski, Producer of the Masters of the Air series, says "If you want to understand the broader context of Masters of the Air , there is no better place to start, than the American Air Museum at IWM
Duxford." And we are able to do this work because of friends like you.

When you join the American Air Museum in Britain as a member, you’re honoring
these heroes who took to the skies to defend our freedom and ensuring their
legacy is never forgotten. As a token of our heartfelt gratitude, you’ll receive
a free digital membership card to download and display with pride.

This year we will be commemorating the 80th anniversary of pivotal World War II
actions like the D-Day invasion, Operation Market Garden, and the Battle of the
Bulge. We are currently in the middle of the 80th anniversary of “Big Week,” a
series of consecutive bombing raids on aircraft assembly plants in Germany. This
was an all-out effort by the USAAF and the RAF to wrestle air superiority from
the Luftwaffe ahead of Operation Overload. We’re going to do all that we can to
make sure that the historic achievements of these brave patriots get the
recognition they deserve.
