In honor of Black History Month, the New Jersey Young Democrats is proud to recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black people in U.S. history. On behalf of NJYD, I extend my sincerest thanks to our Black leaders, elected officials, members, and supporters for everything you do. Your dedication to advancing a more just and inclusive world is deeply valued. Together, we will continue to make a collective impact.



It is imperative to not only recognize the larger commitment of uplifting the achievements of Black people all year long but also advancing progress on Black issues. As the first African American woman president of the New Jersey Young Democrats, I am proud of how far we've come and will continue to ensure that we prioritize racial equity, DEIB, and social justice in our work. Black history is American history, and I look forward to breaking more barriers and making history alongside extraordinary leaders like you.?

February Young Dem of the Month







Congratulations to Christopher Bauknight, our February Young Dem of the Month! Christopher is a dedicated leader who serves as the Chairman of the Warren County Young Democrats and Vice-Chair of the Washington Borough Democratic Committee.



In 2020, he secured a position on the School Board of Washington Borough (Warren County) K-6, serving for three years. In recognition of his leadership and dedication, Christopher was elected Chairman of the Warren County Young Democrats in 2021.?



Christopher is an alumnus of Upper Iowa University - Fayette, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Currently, Christopher works at The Arc of Warren County as a Direct Support Professional, demonstrating his commitment to advocating for mental health. Additionally, he is an avid reader of books on sociological and cultural issues. Christopher enjoys history and traveling throughout New Jersey to try new restaurants.



Join us in celebrating Christopher as our February Young Democrat of the Month, recognizing his leadership, resilience, and contributions to both politics and the community at large!







Black History Month Celebration







The New Jersey Young Democrats Black Caucus, in partnership with the New Jersey Democratic State Committee Black Caucus, is proud?to bring you this special virtual event in honor of Black History Month!?Join us on Wednesday, February 28th at The Lobby Club in Trenton for this exciting Black History Month Celebration!?
