In honor of Black History Month, the New Jersey Young Democrats is proud to recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black people in U.S. history. As the first African American woman president of the New Jersey Young Democrats, I am proud of how far we've come and will continue to ensure that we prioritize racial equity, DEIB, and social justice in our work. Congratulations to Christopher Bauknight, our February Young Dem of the Month! Christopher is a dedicated leader who serves as the Chairman of the Warren County Young Democrats and Vice-Chair of the Washington Borough Democratic Committee.

In 2020, he secured a position on the School Board of Washington Borough (Warren County) K-6, serving for three years. In recognition of his leadership and dedication, Christopher was elected Chairman of the Warren County Young Democrats in 2021.?

Christopher is an alumnus of Upper Iowa University - Fayette, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Currently, Christopher works at The Arc of Warren County as a Direct Support Professional, demonstrating his commitment to advocating for mental health. Additionally, he is an avid reader of books on sociological and cultural issues. Christopher enjoys history and traveling throughout New Jersey to try new restaurants.
