We hope February is off to a good start! We have new and updated Black History Month resources as well as a new mini-lesson Students Speak, Educators Listen" based on the identity-based bullying video and discussion guide we previously shared. Monthly Featured BookChloe&rsquo;s Lunar New Year
This picture book for ages 4-8 tells the story of Chloe and her family who prepare for Lunar New Year. They buy new shoes, lay out good-luck oranges in a bowl, decorate the red envelope and make a crispy turnip cake. Everyone comes together to cook a fantastic feast. The backmatter contains educational information about the Lunar New Year celebration in Taiwan.

As a follow-up to the "Centering Youth Voices: Addressing Identity-Based Bullying" and discussion guide released last year, we've developed a new 20 minute mini-lesson. Updated Table TalkBias and Hate in Online Games
We've updated our Table Talk, "Bias and Hate in Online Games," to reflect ADL's Center for Technology and Society's latest survey, &ldquo;Hate is No Game: Hate and Harassment in Online Games 2023.&rdquo; The Table Talk includes a variety of important data on how young people experience gaming and ways to engage in family conversations about the report

New Lesson PlanTeens and their Social Media Lives
This lesson plan for grades 8-12 helps students reflect on their own social media use. In addition, it compares that information with the data in a recent Pew Research Center survey, considers their responses and ideas based on the results and explores how race, gender and socioeconomic status impact online use.

We now have a Spanish translation of our parent/family discussion guide. This picture book for ages 5-8 explores what it&rsquo;s like when you feel different, reminding readers that we all feel like outsiders sometimes and how, by sharing our stories, others will be happy to meet us halfway.
