our resource hub offers 250+ legal resources, spanning digital rights, censorship, internet access restrictions, and defamation.the hub provides free, accessible, and searchable content for seamless iintegration into legal briefs.

accessible in multiple languages, including english, spanish, portuguese, french, italian, and german, since 2022, our resources have garnered over 300,000 global views.

strengthening networks: our most recent litigation surgery in south east asia
in october, our team held our latest litigation surgery in malaysia, bringing together 18 participants from 8 different countries in south east asia. litigation surgeries celebrate open dialogue and aim to enhance the confidence of lawyers working on digital rights and freedom of expression in the region.

propuesta cívica is a mexican organisation with the mission of defending human rights and freedom of expression in mexico.

we provide grants and technical support to organisations around the world who provide legal support directly to journalists in their countries.in 2022 we awarded £320,022.20 in grants to partner organisations to run media defence centres.

in october 2023, media defence filed nika gvaramia’s case at the european court of

human rights, challenging his unlawful detention and the denial of his right to a fair trial.

ecowas court condemns internet shutdown in guinea

in november, the ecowas court issued a decision in a case filed by media defence, condemning internet shutdowns and social media blocking during political protests in guinea.

this is an important development for freedom of expression and digital rights, reaffirming that internet shutdowns are unlawful and violate the right to freedom of expression.
