If so, we have the PERFECT program for you: our annual <strong>Citizens' Police Academy</strong>!! This fun, free, informative program offers insight into the operations, programs and people of the APD. Participants will NOT be trained as officers, but the 10-week session will cover topics such as Basic Patrol Functions, Drug Enforcement, K9 Program, Use of Force and much more. <p style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">Ladies: join the Auburn Police Department for our award-winning <strong>Self-Defense for Women</strong> course: Auburn RAD.</p>
<p style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">This is a program of realistic self-defense tactics & techniques for women. It is not a martial arts program. Starting slowly, we will cover the basics of stances, yelling, movement, blocking, striking & kicking. At the completion of the program, you will be able to say: "I am prepared. I am capable. And I WILL survive, no matter what!"</p>
