CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY
Have you ever wanted to learn more about the Auburn Police Department and the work we do? If so, we have the PERFECT program for you: our annual Citizens' Police Academy!! This fun, free, informative program offers insight into the operations, programs and people of the APD. Participants will NOT be trained as officers, but the 10-week session will cover topics such as Basic Patrol Functions, Drug Enforcement, K9 Program, Use of Force and much more. All of the instructors are APD personnel, who are proud to share info on the job they love. So, apply today and join us for CPA!
SELF-DEFENSE FOR WOMEN
Ladies: join the Auburn Police Department for our award-winning Self-Defense for Women course: Auburn RAD.
This is a program of realistic self-defense tactics & techniques for women. It is not a martial arts program. Starting slowly, we will cover the basics of stances, yelling, movement, blocking, striking & kicking. At the completion of the program, you will be able to say: "I am prepared. I am capable. And I WILL survive, no matter what!"
Auburn RAD is for EVERY woman - no matter what size, age or skill level. Cost is $25 per person.
