You may have read that No Labels—a dark-money political organization whose
plans could install Donald Trump in the White House—is baselessly accusing
MoveOn and our partners of an unlawful, Russian-style criminal conspiracy
against American democracy.^1
Now, MoveOn and our partners are punching back.
The Lincoln Project—a group MoveOn partnered with to expose No Labels'
threat to democracy—just published an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal
calling the false accusations "an outrageous attack on the First
Amendment."^2
Precisely.
No Labels is demanding that the Justice Department investigate MoveOn, The
Lincoln Project, and our other partners under RICO—the law often used to
prosecute organized crime—all because we dared to criticize them.^3
As the Lincoln Project writes in their op-ed, "government-subsidized
lawfare against critics is a tactic of autocrats, not Americans."^4
We won't be gagged into silence.
But our 2024 budget did not account for a potential legal fight with a
billionaire-backed organization while—at the same time—running a massive,
nationwide $32 million 2024 election effort to stop Trump and defeat MAGA.

* Rupert Murdoch—the owner of the Fox News propaganda network.
* Nelson Peltz—the billionaire investor who hosted a $10 million lavish
fundraising dinner for Trump.^7

MoveOn's voter mobilization plan centers around a tactic called "vote
tripling," in which MoveOn members organize people to turn out three of
their own friends or family members.
We honed it in 2020 and 2022, and it's extremely effective, because it's
based on existing, trusted relationships.
In fact, in the 2022 midterm elections, MoveOn's election program turned
out an estimated 48,000 to 50,000 voters in battleground districts and
states!^8
That's an incredibly exciting result. Look at it this way: In 2020,
President Biden won the Electoral College by a mere 44,000 votes in
Georgia, Arizona, and Wisconsin COMBINED.^9
