In order to protect our fellow Hoosiers – our neighbors, our family, our
friends and our most vulnerable – we’re called on to hunker down.

Earlier today, Governor Holcomb spoke directly to Hoosiers, and he had a
message for us:

 

“I’ve signed another Executive Order that calls on all Hoosiers to hunker down
, stay at home…unless you’re going out on an essential errand, or essential
work or essential business and operations.”


In order to protect our fellow Hoosiers – our neighbors, our family, our
friends and our most vulnerable – we’re called on to hunker down.


But Governor Holcomb also has a message for those Hoosiers out there who are
called to serve in these difficult times – who can’t hunker down – our
healthcare workers, our grocery store clerks, and all those aiding in the
public response:

Thank you to:

* Healthcare workers pulling double shifts.
* General Motors, which is redeploying its Kokomo workforce to produce
ventilators.
* Breweries and distilleries that are converting their businesses to produce
hand sanitizer.
* Manufacturers donating their protective gear to hospital and the state.
* Businesses that have gone to multiple shifts to spread out their workforce.
* Union shops asking their contractors to drop off the needed items our
hospitals.
* Restaurant owners, who are adapting to a new “to-go only” business model.
