I was first confronted with the evil of abortion when Planned Parenthood op=
ened one of their killing centers in Bryan-College Station, Texas --- home =
of Texas A&M University where I was a student at the time.

That was in 2004. Back then, a small group of us met to develop a strategy =
to try and stop this horrible development in our community, but all of our =
attempts failed.

Frustrated with the situation --- four of us began to pray.

And that's how we settled on the idea for the first 40 Days for Life campai=
gn, which included these 3 basic tenets:
40 days of prayer and fasting
40 days of a nonstop, peaceful, prayerful vigil outside a local abortion fa=
cility
40 days of grassroots outreach
In that first campaign more than 100 babies were saved and over 1,000 peopl=
e got involved.

40 Days for Life then began to spread by word of mouth and was duplicated i=
n nearby towns --- and now this same model is being used in cities across 5=
0 states and 61 countries (with two campaigns each year --- one in the Spri=
ng and one in the Fall).

ened one of their killing centers in Bryan-College Station, Texas --- home =
of Texas A&M University where I was a student at the time.
