has spent years leading some of the most important fights to defend our

* Adam led the nation’s first prosecution of an FBI agent of espionage
as an Assistant U.S. Attorney — and learned important lessons that he
would later apply to another American the Russians would target for

* Adam prosecuted toxic waste dumpers and it led to the creation of the
first federal environmental crimes unit in Los Angeles — setting an
important precedent that no company, big or small, could harm people

* Adam joined the U.S. Forest Service as a seasonal firefighter in the
early 1980s — and he’s made fire safety a legislative priority ever
since.
* Adam flipped a Republican seat blue in the most expensive
congressional race in history at the time — becoming the first
Democrat to represent his community since Franklin Roosevelt was
President.
* Adam served as Chair of the House Intelligence Committee and as the
lead impeachment manager in Trump’s Senate trial before serving on the
January 6 Committee — and then last year, Kevin McCarthy removed him
from the Intel Committee and Republicans censured him as political
payback and under threat from Donald Trump.

Adam’s experience and the results he’s delivered are about so much more
than standing up to Trump and the MAGA movement — but he hasn’t shied away
from the challenge of defending our democracy when he’s been called upon.
