Here's everything you need to know about former Florida governor and current Senator Rick Scott:
- He's a proud Trump ally and an anti-democracy extremist. In his first term as senator, Scott voted with Trump nearly 85% of the time -- a score that includes his vote to overturn the 2020 electoral results.
- He has never won broad support from Florida voters. Scott narrowly won his first and second races for Florida governor by 1% of the vote. In his first run for Senate, the margin was just as small (only 1.2% of the vote!).
- He is deeply anti-choice and wouldn't hesitate to sign a national abortion ban. Scott is on the record saying that if he were still governor of Florida, he would have proudly signed a 6-week abortion ban into law.
